S/election seasons in Nigeria are synonymous with war situations, a do-or-die affair. Barely six months to Nigeria’s defining 2019 general elections, governance and business activities are almost at a standstill. Machiavellian intrigues, seismic political stunts, inter-party defections, impeachment plots are now the new normal in Nigeria. The political wheeling and dealing playing out in Nigeria is having a butterfly-effect on the already fragile economy, volatile political climate, security, geo-political risk, instability. For the second year in a row, the Fragile States Index, FSI, released by the Washington DC-based think-tank, Fund for Peace, FFP, ranked Nigeria as the 13th least stable country in the world. Similarly, Nigeria ranks 148 out of 168 on the 2018 Global Peace Index (GPI), by the Institute for Economics and Peace.

The Sunni jihadists, amongst whom are Muhammadu Buhari, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Muhammad Abubakar III, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Nasir El-Rufai and other Hausa and the Fulani people are merely out in the 21st century Nigeria, using state resources to take advantage of the resurgence of the global jihad to conquer all the Christian lands/communities/areas/territories which their evil ancestors were unable to conquer due to the fierce resistance put up by the indigenous people against the terrorists in earlier centuries as led by Uthman Dan Fodio – such Christian communities include those in the BAY axis of the North East (Borno, Adamawa and Yobe), Southern Kaduna, the Middle Belt generally, including the whole of the Christian majority South of Nigeria.

Introduction
More than one hundred years after disparate nation states with dissimilar cultures, religion, and values amongst others were forcefully amalgamated by British colonialists for administrative convenience, hegemonic aggrandizement and fifty years after a three year civil war, Nigeria simultaneously grapples with insurgency, terrorism, militancy, instability, and recurring agitation for the balkanization of the country. Most of the issues that led to the Nigeria-Biafra civil war were glossed over, remain unresolved. At the end of the civil war the then Head of State, General Gowon bandied the three R’s - reconciliation, rehabilitation and reconstruction - which turned out to be mere clichés, unfulfilled promises. There was no reconciliation, no rehabilitation and definitely no reconstruction. My father told me how they were given only twenty pounds irrespective of how much they saved up in the banks. They moved on but the scar endured. Fifty years after the Nigerian civil war, Ndigbo of southeast Nigeria don’t have a sense of belonging in Nigeria. They are alienated, marginalized and subjugated as a conquered people. In the United States, pupils and students are taught about the American civil war but in Nigeria where it appears we have a phobia for history and the truth.

Brief Biography of Nnamdi Kanu
Nwannekaenyi Nnamdi Kenny Okwu Kanu or Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as he is popularly called, was born circa 1970 to a traditional ruler, HRH Eze Israel Kanu and Lolo Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu of Isiama Afaraukwu, Ibeku near Umuahia, Abia State. He attended Library Avenue Primary School (now part of the Abia State Government House, Umuahia) and Government College Umuahia for his Secondary school education before proceeding to the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). He reportedly didn’t graduate from UNN but bolted to the United Kingdom to complete his tertiary education. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu – Director of Radio Biafra was a regular Joe Bloggs plying his trade in the United Kingdom until the Buhari administration (in)advertently transformed him into a brand, a force, an international figure and a folk hero of some sort. Mazi Kanu was a vitriolic foot soldier of Chief Ralph Uwazuruike-led separatist ‘’Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra’’ (MASSOB) but he reportedly parted ways with Uwazuruike afterwards and pitched his tent with another separatist platform – the ‘’Indigenous People of Biafra’’ (IPOB). Before his arrest, not many people knew about him or listened to his exuberant rants on his online London-based Radio Biafra. Like many youths of his age bracket, it appears Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was disillusioned with the Nigerian project, particularly his perceived marginalization and injustice meted out to people of his Igbo ethnic extraction. On 5 September 2015, he was a guest speaker at the World Igbo Congress held in California during which he allegedly demanded for weapons that would be used to actualize Biafra. Kanu’s outburst at the World Igbo Congress became his undoing.

I do the truth and follow the truth whole-heartedly, religiously, faithfully, loyally, unrepentantly, fearlessly and unapologetically because the truth is eternal. It is the absolute and it is the highest measurement of a person - the individual, organizations and the nations and that weapon that will and can blast off the truth is not able to be manufactured until the time of the end, for the simple reason that that knowledge that will enable terrestial intelligence to manufacture such objects directed at the truth that can kill and wipe off the truth from the earth is not within and cannot be within the reach of any human intelligence and community because the Truth is from above and its origin is not from here, but from the supra-sensible.
