Some of you might have been very young when Putin ordered his country’s army to invade Ukraine in 2014, waged war against her, and subsequently annexed Crimea against all international laws regarding sovereignty of the nation states.

That war left many maimed and deformed till date, with some, including innocent children and young persons getting killed – bombed into shreds, properties worth millions destroyed or looted by the soldiers. And according to records the total number of those that died totalled over 8000!

Again, it looks history is about to repeat itself now as Putin readies his tanks and the military to war with Ukraine, although he is in diplomatic talks with some Western leaders now.

But whilst talks are ongoing, what should all young people the world over do or be doing right now to prevent the imminent war, bearing in mind the devastating consequences of such a war with Ukraine as in all other wars across centuries?

And please don’t forget that countries like Yemen, Ethiopia, and Tigray seeking self-determination are at war with each other currently. But is war civilization or part of it?
